Norwegian Police authority (Økokrim)disclosed that it has seized as much as 60 million krone ( price roughly US$5.9 million) of property stolen from the Axie Infinity hack.
After many makes an attempt to hint the funds, Norwegian authority Økokrim introduced on Feb. 16 that it had efficiently recovered about $5.9 million from the hackers.
Again in March 2022, North Korea’s Lazarus Group reportedly stole over $600 million from the Axie-Ronin bridge.
The funds have been efficiently tracked and retrieved with the cooperation of the FBI and the US Division of Justice.
State Legal professional Marianne Bender stated:
“This case reveals that we even have a fantastic capability to observe the cash on the blockchain, even when criminals use superior strategies.”
Økokrim stated it might proceed to trace the hackers and confiscate any funds they attempt to withdraw.
Within the meantime, Økokrim stated it’ll talk with Axie Infinity’s mum or dad firm Sky Mavis to return the recovered funds.
